PathConnexx Externship - Anatomic Pathology (North America)

Responsibilities

• Externship will take place either the week of January 25th or February 1st, 2027, at a mutually agreeable time
• You'll participate in the digital diagnostic evaluation of specimens, related consultations, and other activities
• You'll interact virtually with several IDEXX pathologists of various backgrounds and areas of interest
• You'll attend and participate in pathology-related meetings, as available (i.e. rounds)

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent
• 18+ years of age and two completed years of an Anatomic Pathology residency with a track record of academic success and potential
• Familiarity with current topics and issues in diagnostic veterinary medicine
• Successful completion of Phase I of the ACVP board exam highly desirable

What is PathConnexx? A unique learning experience for a veterinary pathology resident currently enrolled in an anatomic pathology residency program and beginning their final year in the fall of 2026. Residents will gain real-world experience working virtually alongside our pathologists, who provide pathology diagnostics and consultation services to practicing veterinarians. During your externship, you will be integrated into our global professional pathology team with exposure to a wide range of interesting pathology cases, specifically selected for you based on your interests and goals for your program.
