About the role

WatchGuard Technologies is seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to lead all aspects of revenue accounting and accounts receivable for our growing global SaaS and technology business. This is a highly visible, hands on leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and scalable revenue operations in accordance with ASC 606. This role will serve as the subject matter expert for GAAP revenue recognition, NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), and SKU setup, while partnering cross functionally to support business growth, automation, and operational excellence. A Day in the Life In this role, your day will balance hands on execution with strategic leadership. You may start the morning reviewing revenue close activity, deferred revenue movements, or resolving a complex ASC 606 judgment related to a non standard deal. Throughout the day, you will partner closely with Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Legal, and FP&A to ensure contracts, SKUs, and system configurations are set up correctly from the start. You will spend time in NetSuite reviewing ARM configurations, revenue schedules, and automation opportunities, while also coaching your team, removing roadblocks, and improving processes across the order to cash lifecycle. As the owner of revenue audit readiness, you will ensure documentation is tight, controls are operating effectively, and audit requests are addressed efficiently and confidently. Who You AreYou are a confident, hands on revenue accounting leader who thrives in a fast paced SaaS or technology environment. You bring deep technical expertise in ASC 606 and GAAP revenue recognition, paired with the practical experience to apply that guidance in complex, real world scenarios. You are comfortable owning outcomes, making judgment calls, and standing behind your conclusions-especially in front of auditors and senior leadership. You enjoy building structure where processes are evolving and are motivated by improving accuracy, automation, and scalability. You communicate clearly with both finance and non finance partners, translating complex accounting concepts into actionable guidance. As a people leader, you set ambitious standards, provide clarity and accountability, and invest in developing your team. Most importantly, you take pride in ownership, viewing revenue accounting as a critical enabler of the business. You are comfortable leading distributed teams across geographies and time zones, and you know how to create clarity, accountability, and strong partnerships between onshore and offshore resources. You are comfortable working with large, complex data sets and rely on strong Excel and analytical skills to understand issues, identify root causes, and drive accurate, timely outcomes. You are energized by fixing broken or manual processes and take pride in leaving things better than you found them. You know how to balance accuracy and compliance with the practical need to automate and scale, and you are comfortable driving change in environments where processes are still evolving.
