As part of our Test Lab team, you will work at the heart of product development, ensuring quality and performance through hands-on testing and collaboration across functions.
Develop, own, and continuously improve mechanical and functional test methods for tools and power tools to ensure reliable and repeatable results.
Plan and execute product testing activities, analyse results, and create clear and structured reports to support decision-making.
Ensure products meet safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including relevant international standards (ISO, EN, IEC).
Support quality investigations and root cause analysis, contributing test-based insights to corrective actions.
Maintain testing equipment, fixtures, and lab infrastructure, and support the development of new jigs and testing setups.
Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, and other stakeholders to improve testability, compliance, and product performance.
Promote a safe working environment by following laboratory safety protocols, risk assessments, and appropriate use of protective equipment.
Requirements
You are a hands-on engineer with a strong technical mindset and a passion for understanding how products perform in real-world conditions.
You enjoy working in a practical environment where you can combine testing, analysis, and collaboration to improve product quality.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
0-3 years of experience in product testing, engineering, or a technical role; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and material properties (e.g., polymers, metals).
Interest in or exposure to product testing, lab work, or new product development (NPD) environments.
Familiarity with mechanical and/or electrical testing methods, tools, or lab equipment is an advantage.
Awareness of product standards, validation, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, EN, IEC) is a plus.
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and apply testing concepts.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with attention to detail and comfort handling hands-on and repetitive testing tasks; fluent in English (Finnish or Swedish are an advantage).

At Fiskars Group, we are driven by our common purpose: pioneering design to make the everyday extraordinary.
We are now looking for a Test Engineer to join our Test Lab at the Billnäs factory. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that our tools and power products meet high standards for performance, safety, and compliance before they reach the market. You will work closely with R&D, Quality, and other stakeholders to support product development through reliable and insightful testing.
This position is based in Billnäs, Finland and reports to Supervisor, Test Lab. The role is full-time and on-site.
