About the role
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Platform Engineer to support and enhance our enterprise cloud and infrastructure environment across Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint, and SaaS platforms. This role acts as a key escalation point for both internal IT teams and MSP support, ensuring stability, performance, and security across all core platforms. Responsibilities : Design, implement, configure, and operate Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services across production environments. Administer and support core infrastructure platforms including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Zoom Phone, and key SaaS applications. Act as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex cloud, identity, endpoint, infrastructure, and SaaS incidents from internal IT teams and MSP. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across Azure, M365, networking, identity, and endpoint environments, ensuring service stability and performance. Manage identity and access services, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, PIM, and Identity Governance, including hands-on configuration and issue resolution. Implement and support endpoint management solutions using Intune, Windows Autopilot, compliance policies, and device security controls. Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience platforms, including Acronis, SpinOne, and related recovery processes and testing. Develop and maintain technical runbooks, operational procedures, configuration standards, and platform documentation. Support cloud transformation initiatives, including migrations, modernization, automation, and platform optimisation. Build and maintain automation scripts and operational tooling using PowerShell and related technologies. Monitor platform performance, availability, and cost efficiency, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Collaborate with security teams to implement and support Zero Trust architecture, security baselines, and compliance controls. Participate in incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management activities. Support project delivery, including onboarding, migrations, integrations, and service transitions into production. Mentor junior engineers and provide hands-on technical guidance within the team. Contribute to architecture reviews, capacity planning, and continuous improvement of platform services. 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, Systems, or Platform Engineering. Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. Advanced administration of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and related collaboration services. Strong experience administering Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, endpoint compliance, application deployment, and endpoint security. Deep understanding of Entra ID, hybrid identity, federation, SSO, Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, PIM, Identity Governance, and lifecycle management. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and hybrid identity environments. Experience managing virtualization platforms such as vSphere, Hyper-V, or Azure virtualization technologies. Experience with enterprise storage technologies, SAN/NAS platforms, and capacity planning. Experience managing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions including Acronis, SpinOne, and related technologies. Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), endpoint protection, and security monitoring platforms. Experience with Microsoft Defender Suite including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Cloud, and Defender for Cloud Apps.
