About the role
The Portfolio Analyst within the Portfolio, Planning & Performance organization of Asset Retirement plays a critical role in supporting Chevron ENGINE's strategic objectives. This position is responsible for analyzing, tracking, and providing insights across multiple domains, including Asset Retirement Obligations (ARO), assessing commercial post-closure obligations, refining and developing portfolio end-state vision development, and supporting risk and claims management. Responsibilities
- Asset Retirement Obligations (ARO): Support ARO reviews, including tracking and validating assumptions, developing templates, and engage teams to drive a consistent approach
- Commercial : Assist in assessing and tracking post-closure obligations, providing insights to optimize financial and operational outcomes.
- Portfolio Strategy: Lead and support development or refresh of end-state vision for key sites within the Asset Retirement portfolio.
- Risk & Claims: Provide general analyst support for risk and claims management activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align portfolio strategies with organizational goals.
- Prepare and present analytical reports to leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- About you
- Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance/Economics) or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, PMP).
- Experience in managing or supporting asset retirement, abandonment, remediation, or reclamation in an industry such as mining, oil and gas, or chemicals activities/projects
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks
- Proficiency in financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Broad understanding of regulatory frameworks and connection to risk-based financial estimates
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in portfolio analysis, financial planning, commercial operations, or related areas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
