Reporting through the law department, you will execute and improve compliance programs in conjunction with our logistics team in all aspects of global trade compliance. As a Trade Compliance Analyst, a typical day might include the following: Under Trade Compliance Manager's direction and supervision, perform assigned daily activities in support and furtherance of SEL's Trade Compliance Program as defined in the company compliance manuals. Evaluate import/export transactions and documentation for issues impacting expeditious and compliant international shipping of SEL' s products and drive problem resolution. Classify products, software and technology, research and apply various Rules of Origin, maintain and update HS, ECCN and COO database(s). Create, review and approve commercial data elements and documentation as needed. Interface and communicate internally and externally to ensure efficient transactional support and adequate control infrastructure regarding importing, exporting and Dangerous Goods shipping. Conduct proper management and documentation of preferential trade or special treatment programs. Assist the Trade Compliance Manager with auditing, corrective actions, training, recordkeeping and other applicable compliance controls. Other duties and special projects as assigned.
