All we ask is that you bring your true self and do all the good you can! MAIN DUTIES A Pool Food Runner works effectively as part of the Pool & Beach Food & Beverage team. The Pool Food Runner is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages from the kitchen and service stations to guests in poolside areas while assisting servers and ensuring exceptional guest experiences in accordance with 1 Hotel standards. GENERAL DUTIES Maintain a working knowledge of all poolside food and beverage menu offerings. Follow high standards of food quality, sanitation, storage, and handling procedures. Ensure all food orders are delivered accurately, efficiently, and according to established service standards. Follow server tickets and food orders to ensure the correct items are delivered to the correct guest. Assist servers with food presentations and guest interactions when appropriate. Maintain proper service pace while delivering food from the kitchen or service station to poolside guests. Verify food quality, presentation, and order accuracy before delivery. Keep all service stations, poolside service areas, and storage areas clean, organized, and fully stocked. Assist servers, bussers, and fellow team members with clearing tables, lounge chairs, cabanas, and resetting guest areas when needed. Provide engaged, friendly, and attentive service to all guests through eye contact, respectful conversation, and a positive attitude. Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests. Practice the highest regard for safety, particularly around pool decks, wet surfaces, and outdoor environments. Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by federal, state, and local regulations. Safely transport food, beverages, trays, and service equipment throughout the pool area. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately to management. Participate in daily shift meetings and pre-shift briefings. Adhere to strict uniform, grooming, and appearance standards. Support all Pool & Beach operations as assigned by management. Guarantee neat, timely, and quality service at all times. Follow all company safety, security, and operational procedures. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and service standards. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Embody the 1 Hotels Vision, Mission, and Compass; deliver on Our Promise, provide Good-Natured Service, and uphold our Brand Pillars. Perform all other duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Prior food running, restaurant, pool, beach club, or hospitality experience preferred. Organized and proficient at multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to carry food trays, beverage trays, and service equipment safely and efficiently. Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Proficient in verbal and written English communication. Food Handler Certification (can be obtained during employment).
