About the role

This position is part of the Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs, Department of Energy. A successful candidate in this position will serve as General Engineer/Physical Scientist, providing professional Program Management and Technical duties that accomplish the NNSA mission for the Nuclear Security Enterprise. A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA pay band level or GS grade level in the Federal Service, i.e.,NN-03 or GS-13. Examples of Qualified Experience: Evaluating and analyzing programs and applicable guidance for adequacy and formulating revisions to higher management. Composing and presenting complex, technical, sensitive information and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Analyzing technical reports, publications, and matter that contain advanced and highly complex concepts, data, and design information to inform program investment recommendations.
