A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school; and
two (2) years of work experience in the operation and maintenance of passenger carrying motor vehicles.
License Requirement:
Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements as applicable to the position, a valid State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Medical Examiner Certificate and any other appropriate licenses or certificates as required of the position.

Job Summary:
As a substitute/on-call, operates and maintains a bus transporting passengers along designated routes as a substantially full-time work assignment; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Examples of Duties:

Drives a bus to transport passengers over specified routes according to time schedules;
Collects tickets or cash fares;
Complies with local traffic regulations;
Cleans bus;
Keeps bus supplied with fuel, oil, water, and air;
Maintains daily record of all trips;
Makes daily check of bus which includes tires, brakes, horn, wipers, lights, turn signals;
Reports all mechanical problems which may require minor or major repair work;
May make minor and emergency repairs to the bus as required;; and
Performs other related duties as assigned.
