The Pima County Health Department is seeking a skilled Public Health Program Intern to drive implementation of the current strategic plan and workforce development efforts. This grant-funded temporary position reports to the Strategic Initiatives Program Manager, this role supports department-wide performance improvement and ensures compliance with public health accreditation standards. The internship will run until 10/29/27 and candidates must commit to part-time hours (20-30 hours per week). Key responsibilities include leading the implementation and monitoring of the department's strategic plan, tracking progress, preparing reports and presentations for community events, conferences, and internal meetings. Additionally, this role enhances the department's learning environment by assessing employee desk procedures, and supporting employee growth through training programs aligned with national public health standards.
