The major function of this position is:
As a Retail Specialist you are a vital leader in ensuring smooth store operations, providing exceptional customer service, and overseeing daily activities. You are responsible for key operational functions, including opening and closing, cash management, and maintaining operational readiness and team security. You will also partner with the store leadership team to drive sales and achieve business results by focusing on delivering a premium customer experience, fostering strong employee relations, and maintaining operational excellence, all while upholding Maui Jim culture and retail expectations.
Work Schedule Requirements:
Retail store hours vary, typically from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday, with flexibility required to meet the needs of the business.
Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as necessary to support store operations and ensure team coverage.
Availability to fill scheduling gaps across multiple locations as needed to ensure seamless business operations and staffing coverage.
Located in Kaanapali, HI
Hourly Wage : $24, plus retail commissions.

The primary responsibilities and duties of this position are:
Open and close the store according to standard operating procedures.
Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere.
Foster long-term customer loyalty by proactively engaging with customers, providing personalized assistance with their shopping needs, answering questions, and resolving any issues that arise
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
Assist the Assistant Store Manager in maximizing revenue by promoting sales and providing exceptional customer experiences that reflect the brand's values and principles.
Assist with product flow, inventory management, restocking, and daily store maintenance, ensuring operational needs are met as directed by Store Management.
Ensure the store's visual presentation consistently reflects the brand image by maintaining visual merchandising standards.
Oversee POS procedures, ensuring accurate reconciliation, processing of returns, exchanges, gift cards, and discounts.
Effectively resolve customer concerns and issues, maintaining composure and professionalism, even in high-pressure situations.
Collaborate with team members to gather, analyze, and communicate customer feedback, and to identify opportunities for process and service enhancements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable sales floor, ensuring the store consistently meets brand and visual standards.
Support inventory management and ensure the store is well-stocked at all times.
Assist in training new team members and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure their success .
Assist with back-of-house duties, including receiving and merchandising products.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of Maui Jim's product lines, trends, and customer needs, and communicate product offerings to meet customer preferences.
Promote and adhere to store policies and procedures, particularly in relation to Point-of-Sale transactions.
Perform other work-related tasks as requested or required .
