We're seeking an experienced SharePoint Lead / Administrator to take end-to-end ownership of SharePoint Online within a modern Microsoft 365 environment. This is a hands-on, senior role that blends deep technical expertise with strong consulting and stakeholder engagement, focusing on delivering scalable, secure, and well-governed collaboration solutions.
You'll work closely with business leaders, M365 architects, and infrastructure teams across the full platform lifecycle-from solution design and implementation through to optimisation, governance, automation, and cost management. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping platforms, driving best practice, and acting as a trusted advisor in complex environments.
Responsibilities
Own and administer SharePoint Online, including site lifecycle management, permissions, governance standards, and platform optimisation
Design and maintain scalable information architectures (sites, hubs, metadata, content types, and navigation) aligned to business needs
Lead governance, compliance, and information protection initiatives using Microsoft Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels, retention)
Drive storage optimisation, lifecycle management, and FinOps-style cost control across SharePoint Online
Plan and deliver SharePoint and M365 migrations, automation, and integrations using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and modern tooling
Required Skills and Competencies
Expert-level experience administering SharePoint Online within a broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem
Strong PowerShell scripting skills (PnP preferred) with exposure to Microsoft Graph and automation
Confident consulting mindset with the ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions
Comfortable operating in complex or regulated environments, with a strong focus on governance and security
