Bring energy, knowledge, innovation, and leadership to carry out the following:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements for US GAAP and local GAAP reporting, including month-end and quarter-end close activities. Support the preparation and sign-off of statutory financial statements for all our Irish entities.
Account Reconciliation: Analyse balance sheet accounts in line with prescribed timelines ensuring audit-ready backup is in place across the various headings of accruals, benefits and tax.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors on statutory and group audits. Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation, review audit memos, and respond to audit queries in a timely manner.
Transfer Pricing: Prepare and maintain Transfer Pricing documentation including Local Files and Descriptive Reports for Irish entities. Coordinate with external advisors on Transfer Pricing matters. Perform Profitability Analysis for our Irish entities
Process Improvement: Support Finance Leadership with process improvements and innovations, policy development, and/or strategic initiatives (e.g., business systems, processes, and/or policies). Contribute to the implementation of new systems and tools within the Ireland Finance group.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the wider Ireland Finance team, site finance controllers, and external advisors. Provide support and guidance to colleagues as appropriate.
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
Qualified ACA/ACCA/AITI or equivalent with 2-4 years post-qualified experience
Pharmaceutical experience in a tax and/or accounting and finance role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong proficiency in SAP, and all Microsoft Office Solutions
Experience with Blackline reconciliation tools is an advantage
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work on own initiative and manage competing priorities

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a position on the Ireland Finance team for a Senior Accountant covering Tax & Statutory Financial Reporting. This is a key role where the individual will work closely with the Associate Director and other senior management to take responsibility for managing tax compliance and accounting operations across our network in Ireland. There are 6 Manufacturing entities within the scope of this team in addition to a Human Health and Animal Health Commercial divisions.
