Job Description:
The Energy Management Engineer position at Louisiana State University will focus on optimizing energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and overall performance of campus buildings. This role involves capturing utility usage data, analyzing building systems, and implementing performance improvements. The position is a critical role in the Energy Management Department's goal to promote a campus that optimizes efficient energy usage while maintaining indoor environments conducive to the University's mission.
Job Responsibilities
Collect and analyze building utility usage data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. (20%)
Initiate and develop the scope for energy efficiency improvement projects and perform cost/savings analysis for the viability and feasibility of these projects. (20%)
Assist in the development and implementation of building automation control strategies to improve operational reliability and efficiency. (20%)
Conduct energy audits and develop strategies for reducing utility consumption and operational costs. (15%)
Prepare detailed reports on building performance metrics. (15%)
Review contract documents of new construction and renovations to ensure compliance with building efficiency and reliability expectations. Other duties as assigned. (10%)
