NOTE: All job seekers will be required to limit their resumes to 2 pages in length when applying for job opportunity announcements (JOAs) MILITARY GRADE: E8 (Promotable) - E9 Selectee(s) must be within the military grade(s) listed in this job announcement prior to the effective date of placement into the technician position to ensure to avoid grade inversion, as determined by the Human Resources Office (HRO). Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (Grade Inversion). Enlisted members currently at a higher grade than allowed by the position (see Military Grade Requirement above) may apply; however, they must administratively reduce prior to appointment and provide confirmation of the reduction to HRO. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG -10 - Experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting parts, subassemblies and components, and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification. WS (WQ in Puerto Rico - All Grade Levels) - In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience demonstrating the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments of lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
