About the role
The Financial Analyst, MI Reporting is responsible for delivering key management information, including the P&L, CFO reporting pack, and Balance Sheet review. Responsibilities
- Compile data from multiple sources to prepare and deliver monthly P&L and CFO reporting packs
- Maintain reporting distribution lists and ensure timely circulation of outputs
- Review, edit, and obtain sign-off for reporting packs
- Produce Broker Results reporting using PBCS (SmartView-based reporting tool)
- Prepare Balance Sheet review files, analyze variances, and investigate significant movements
- Support Balance Sheet review meetings, including preparing minutes and tracking action items
- Execute control checks including DAC G&A and pairing nominal controls
- Prepare CPC reports for partnerships
- Provide support for audit requests, FRCF, and corporate accounting activities
- Contribute to UAT testing for system enhancements and new business initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration
- CPA designated or actively pursuing designation
- Experience in accounting, MI reporting, and Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Experience with Oracle Fusion or another ERP general ledger system
- Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry (an asset)
- Familiarity with SmartView or similar reporting tools
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- The salary band for this position ranges from $65,000.00 to $75,000.00. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity
