Main Duties: The Engineer I w ork s effectively as part of the Engineering department strive to maximize guest engagement, achieve operational excellence, and uphold brand standards. The Enginee r I s are responsible for maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Respond and attend to guest and in house requests for repair, maintenance, and preventative maintenance. Resolve general plumbing issues such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky spigots, plumbing lines, pumps, and faucets. Perform general HVAC trouble shooting and repairs. Perform miscellaneous repairs such as maintenance on equipment, dry wall repair, vinyl wall covering installation/replacement throughout hotel area. Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment (electrical, mechanical, vacuums, televisions), including cleaning, troubleshooting and lubrication. Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment. Maintain daily logs of operation and maintenance. Communicate with leaders/team members when necessary to resolve maintenance issues. Maintain accurate logs and records as required and ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards and procedures are followed; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Perform carpentry work as directed/needed. Perform swimming pool maintenance and fitness equipment repairs. Use computer programs/ handheld devices for communication purposes. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other team members.
