Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027). December 2026 graduates are not eligible for this Academic Year Internship Program.
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
Must be available to work 16 to 24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 - April 23, 2027
Must be willing to work in San Francisco, California.
Desired Characteristics
Students with a class standing of junior or above preferred.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Windows Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
Strong interest in web, mobile, social media, sports, and television
Intermediate media production experience (college programs)
Knowledge of Bay Area sports (baseball, basketball, football, hockey)
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and creative skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Proven track record of following through on projects

The Content group at NBC Sports Bay Area/California is responsible for the day-to-day planning and production of on-air and digital schedules. Interns will assist in the production of daily content and programs, while also helping various production and marketing related initiatives including research, audio/video production, news gathering, editing content.
A snapshot of your responsibilities:
Screening/logging of games, press conferences, interviews, and taped programs to prepare for editing
Researching for graphic boards, creating on-air graphics, and assisting the ticker operators
Assisting Associate Producers in the edit rooms
Working on the production of all pregame/postgame programming
Preparing, copying, and distributing programming information and scripts
Executing detail work to procure footage from external sources
May be assigned additional tasks needed to support the network's day-to-day operations
