Associate - Consumer & Retail M&A Bulge Bracket - Selby Jennings

About the role

As an Associate, you will play a key role in the execution of M&A transactions and support senior bankers in origination efforts. You will work closely with clients, developing strategic insights and delivering best-in-class financial analysis. Key responsibilities include: Leading financial modelling and valuation analysis (DCF, trading comps, transaction comps, LBO) Supporting the execution of M&A mandates from start to completion Preparing client presentations, pitch materials, and marketing documentation Conducting industry and company research, particularly across consumer & retail sectors Coordinating due diligence processes and liaising with internal and external stakeholders Mentoring and overseeing Analysts Candidate Profile We are specifically targeting candidates who are currently working as Investment Banking Associates at a bulge bracket or elite boutique .

Requirements

• Proven experience in M&A execution within a leading investment bank
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skillset
• Excellent academic background
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex workstreams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and client-facing capability
• Sector experience in Consumer & Retail is advantageous but not required. We are open to candidates from other sector teams with strong M&A credentials and an interest in the space.
