Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial real estate finance documents, loan agreements, mortgage-backed securities contracts, and lease financing agreements .
Providing legal guidance on CMBS transactions, FHA and HUD regulatory compliance, and property-level due diligence .
Collaborating with internal legal, finance, and risk teams, as well as external counsel and financial institutions , on real estate finance and joint venture transactions .
Managing real estate finance, regulatory, and transactional legal issues for clients in commercial property, investment, and development sectors .
Staying ahead of industry trends, FHA/HUD regulations, and market developments to provide proactive counsel.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance or structured real estate transactions .
Strong knowledge of CMBS, mortgage-backed securities, FHA/HUD regulations, LTV analysis, and lease financing structures .
Proven track record of advising clients on commercial real estate finance transactions, joint ventures, and compliance matters .
Excellent communication, negotiation, technology, and problem-solving skills.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with property-level due diligence, international or cross-border real estate transactions, and structured finance matters .
Familiarity with real estate investment trusts (REITs) or capital markets transactions .
