White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Cath Lab/IR Technologist for our Cardiovascular department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Cath Lab/IR Technologist you will: - Collaborates with peers, physicians, and support staff to deliver quality patient care as well as customer service - Demonstrates initiative toward safety and risk management issues - Proficient in assisting Interventional Physicians in all CVIR procedures utilizing various interventional tools - Working knowledge of contrast administration/contraindications, as well as plan for adverse reactions - Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient - Maintains a clean and safe environment - Contributes to the time management of the department by being punctual to work and on assignments according to hospital standards - Maintains schedule with flexibility to accommodate all customers with efficiency while providing on-call services during off hours - Participate in new product evaluations as well be learn new procedures with a willingness to share knowledge with peers. - Set up and Maintains sterile field/ Sterile Technique - Follows Hospital policy and protocol to maintain a safe environment - Follow Radiation Safety as established by RSO - Proficient in operating X-Ray, Interventional equipment and other procedural tools - Able to communicate effectively with patients, family, other staff and physician. - Maintains a flexible attitude and schedule to accommodate emergency cases. - Ability to perform in multi-task environment with strong clinical judgement/critical thinking Qualifications include: - High school Diploma or GED - Graduate of an AMA / JRCERT Accredited School of Radiography OR completion of an accredited cardiovascular program - 2 years of diagnostic imaging - Current ARRT Certification or RCIS Certification - Current Maryland Board of Physicians Licensed Radiographer or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification - ACLS certification - Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Work Schedule: Employment Type: Full-time Hours per Week:40 hrs/week Typical Daily Schedule: =4 x 10hr shifts Shift Type: Day Shift Weekend Requirements: None On-Call: Yes Pay Range: $37.17 - $55.76 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
