An advanced university degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline; or a bachelor's degree plus a minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience.

Experience designing and governing end-to-end integration architecture for Sitecore platforms, including reliability, data integrity, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
Strong Azure cloud architecture experience including App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure AD, monitoring and security services; plus demonstrated expertise with Azure API Management (APIM).

The Content Division in the IT Department (ITD) at IMF is seeking to hire a contractual Associate Systems Engineer (Sitecore Architect) for the IMF.org public website platform. Under the direction of the Section Chief or designated senior technical lead, the Associate Systems Engineer (Sitecore Architect) serves as a senior architecture and delivery advisor within ITD.
The role provides architectural leadership for IMF's enterprise digital experience platforms, with a primary focus on Sitecore XM Cloud, Sitecore AI capabilities, Azure-native services, and modern front-end delivery platforms such as Vercel. The incumbent translates institutional requirements into scalable, secure, cloud-first architecture and provides strong project planning, estimation, and delivery of coordination support across multiple Agile teams and vendors.
The role serves as a key technical liaison between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring platform solutions align with institutional priorities, security accreditation requirements, and enterprise integration standards.
Location requirement: This position is based at IMF Headquarters (on-site). Candidates not able to work primarily on-site at HQ are not eligible, given the role's requirement for sustained, high-touch engagement and close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Platform Architecture & Roadmapping
Provide subject matter expertise on Sitecore XM Cloud, Sitecore AI, headless architectures, and Vercel-based delivery; define technical roadmaps, reference architectures, and standards aligned with IMF governance.
Solution Design, Delivery Enablement & Estimation
Translate business and institutional requirements into secure, scalable architectures; support Agile teams with technical scoping, estimation, sprint planning, and delivery coordination across vendors.
Integration Architecture
Design and validate integration architectures with internal enterprise platforms and external services; ensure integration reliability, data integrity, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Security, Risk & Accreditation
Ensure solutions comply with IMF information security policies and accreditation requirements; coordinate vulnerability assessment and remediation activities and provide guidance on secure design and risk mitigation.
DevSecOps, Configuration & Release Governance
Enforce strong configuration management, version control, and release practices within Azure DevOps (ADO) and CI/CD pipelines, including automation and security scanning integration.
Documentation & Technical Communication
Produce and review high-quality architecture and design documentation; advise leadership on platform strategy, risks, and modernization decisions; communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders on constraints and options.
Cross-ITD Collaboration & Dependency Management
Coordinate across infrastructure, security, operations, and other platform teams to manage dependencies and ensure end-to-end alignment and delivery readiness.
