This role is part of the Finance Shared Service Center (SSC) and is responsible for end-to-end General Ledger (GL) activities. You will ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of period-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting, while continuously driving process improvements in a standardized and efficient shared service environment.
Responsibilities
Handle daily activities related to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including accruals, provisions, allocations, reclassifications, intercompany reconciliations, and foreign currency revaluation.
Prepare, review, and post general ledger journal entries in compliance with accounting standards and internal control requirements;
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, analyze variances, and ensure timely resolution of open items;
Manage the full lifecycle of fixed asset accounting and ensure consistency between book and physical assets;
Handle intercompany settlements, cash application, and related reconciliations;
Support the preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and management reports;
Assist with internal and external audits, tax reviews, and compliance checks;
Participate in process improvement initiatives, system upgrades, and SOP updates;
Complete other ad-hoc or special accounting tasks as assigned.
What You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field;
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with hands-on GL/R2R experience in an SSC environment;
Proficient in SAP systems;
Advanced Excel skills (functions, pivot tables, data analysis);
Good command of written & Spoken English for daily work communication;
Strong attention to detail, sense of ownership, ability to work under pressure during closing periods, and good communication and teamwork skills.
Bonus Points if You Have
Have experience in SSC or multinational company finance work.
Have experience in process optimization or project management.
