Position Overview:
We are hiring for a Property Accountant role supporting UK property portfolios across residential, commercial, mixed-use and service charge environments.
This is a hands-on accounting role for someone who can independently manage routine accounting activities, including reconciliations, month-end support, ledger integrity, client reporting and day-to-day issue resolution within defined scope.
The strongest candidates will bring direct property accounting experience. We will also consider candidates from bookkeeping, credit control or service charge backgrounds where they can clearly demonstrate broader accounting capability, exposure to month-end routines, reconciliations and client-facing delivery in a property environment.
This role is not suited to candidates whose experience has been limited to purely transactional processing without wider accounting ownership.
We operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the Cape Town or Johannesburg office.
Please note that this position will be supporting the UK region and therefore, working hours are 08:30 - 17:00 UK time aligned to Daylight Savings.
