Job Description: Position: Machinist Department: Manufacturing Reports To: Manufacturing Coordinator Company Summary: Steeger USA, a medical equipment OEM focused on fine wire & fiber braiding machines for high tech industries; specifically medical. Steeger USA is a division of Machine Solutions which includes four internationally recognized brands: MSI, Vante, PlasticWeld Systems, and Steeger USA. Our combined product catalog allows us to be a single source supplier for 10+ manufacturing and process steps. General Purpose of Job: Self-motivated, energetic individual to fabricate parts for machine builds and to support manufacturing departments. Job Duties Include : Executing work orders communicated by Manufacturing Coordinator. Scheduled Preventative Maintenance of Machining Centers Cut and Make Ready Materials for Work Orders Machining of Parts based upon Drawing Specifications Set-Up and Tear-Down of Machining Centers Inspection of Parts Communicating with Team Members on Timelines and Part Modifications Specific Requirements: Qualified candidate must have high level of knowledge and experience in mechanical assembly and machining facility. Ability to read mechanical equipment drawings a plus. Candidate must demonstrate excellent organization & time management skills, along with the ability to communicate and problem solve with fellow Steeger team members. Minimum 2 years technical training and 5 years of experience working with manual machining equipment, CNC mills and CNC lathes. Basic knowledge of CNC programming required. Experience in an OEM environment is preferred.
