Support the reliability and operational health of current EC2-hosted services while assisting with incident response, monitoring, and KTLO operations during the migration to containerized deployments
Participate in production incident response by triaging issues and contributing to resolution in line with defined SLAs
Participate in an on-call rotation, following established escalation paths and providing after-hours support as required
Communicate incident status and updates clearly to technical stakeholders
Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Reliability
Monitor application and infrastructure health using tools such as New Relic, SolarWinds DPA, CloudWatch, or Datadog
Proactively tune alerts and act on early warning signals to prevent customer impact
Diagnose complex production issues using logs, traces, metrics, and user reports
Apply mitigations and deliver permanent fixes in collaboration with development teams
KTLO / BAU Ownership
Maintain and update runbooks, playbooks, FAQs, and troubleshooting documentation
Perform KTLO activities such as scheduled maintenance, patching, backups and restores, database indexing, archiving jobs, and capacity checks
Support releases, hotfixes, and patches, including deployment validation and production smoke testing
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents
Identify recurring issues and suggest operational or automation improvements
Assist with performance investigations, including SQL query analysis, under guidance
Adopt automation and AI-assisted tooling to reduce operational toil and improve triage efficiency
Requirements
Hands-on experience with .NET and C#, including modern .NET runtimes , for production support and fixes
Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) , including release support and troubleshooting
A DevOps mindset with interest in build, deploy, operate, and improve workflows
Working knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, and RESTful APIs , with the ability to debug issues across the stack
Experience supporting SQL Server-based applications, including basic performance analysis and operational tasks (AWS RDS experience a plus)

The Software Engineer - Support is an individual contributor responsible for maintaining the reliability, stability, and operational health of CMS services. This role focuses on hands-on execution within a single team or service area, supporting production systems and contributing to continuous operational improvement.
The role works across the full stack - Angular frontends, .NET (Core / 6+ / .NET 8) services, and SQL Server - and delivers KTLO / BAU outcomes including incident response, production troubleshooting, runbook maintenance, release and patch support, and reliability improvements under guidance.
The engineer collaborates closely with Product, Development, Platform, and Database teams to help ensure service availability, meet SLAs, and support safe change delivery.
