Pay Range £50,000 - £60,000 plus bonus Job Description Location: London based (flexible) and hybrid Contract: Full time, permanent To support the continuing success of Reed by leading and delivering a programme of audit and compliance projects that ensure the business improves its efficiency whilst remaining compliant with all relevant legislative, regulatory and contractual requirements. The role focuses on building strong internal partnerships across Reed, influencing internal and external stakeholders , and delivering practical, proportionate compliance solutions that enable the business to operate confidently and effectively. Principal Accountabilities Develop a coherent, broad multi-year strategy for compliance transformation which essentially leads the future of increased systemisation, automation, centralisation and overall efficiency for compliance Lead the design and delivery of a clear, prioritised audit and compliance programme, structured around defined projects with agreed scope, outcomes, timelines and stakeholders. Partner with senior leaders, business managers and central functions across Reed to embed compliance into business planning and operational delivery, rather than operating as a standalone assurance function. Develop and maintain a comprehensive data-led audit strategy, within agreed budgets, that supports legislative, contractual and client compliance while enabling sustainable business growth. Deliver end‑to‑end compliance and audit projects that go beyond candidate compliance, reviewing end‑to‑end processes, systems, controls and behaviours. Use data, insight and systems development to identify risks, drive targeted audit activity and support evidence‑based decision‑making. Lead, coach and develop a team of auditors and compliance execs, ensuring resources are deployed flexibly across projects to meet changing business priorities. Act as a trusted internal advisor, working collaboratively with stakeholders to design pragmatic solutions to compliance risks and issues. Plan, manage and successfully deliver all external audits (including, but not limited to, ISO, FWA, GLA, NHS Frameworks and HMRC), ensuring clear ownership, coordination and accountability. Build strong working relationships with Reed Screening, Group Risk, and the RSR network. Through the wider team, own and keep up to date the various compliance requirements for the business which focusses on the UK but does include aspects of international compliance requirements through wholly-owned non-UK operations and franchises. Oversee a team dealing with complex compliance‑related matters, including safeguarding allegations, investigations and complaints, ensuring appropriate escalation and sound judgement. Key relationships: Build and maintain effective relationships with the relevant Managing Directors and their representatives to balance the need for positive relationships, compliance adherence, and change programmes so projects are delivered on time and with impact.
