About the role
As an Intelligence Operations Specialist within the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Insider Threat Program Office, you will lead efforts to identify and mitigate insider threats, utilizing your expertise in foreign intelligence and security protocols. Specialized experience for this Gs-12 position includes: 1. Experience conducting intelligence or security-related research and analysis using multiple sources and databases to identify patterns, assess risks, and develop findings or recommendations; 2. Experience preparing and presenting intelligence products, analytical reports, or program documentation such as collection plans, guides, briefings, or summaries; 3. Experience coordinating and maintaining liaison with internal and external stakeholders such as counterpart analysts, security personnel, program officials, or interagency partners; AND 4. Experience applying knowledge of intelligence operations, insider threat, security, or related mission areas to review reports, identify vulnerabilities, assess trends, and provide technical guidance. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
