The Chief of Staff to Axon's COO/CFO is a high-output role that sits at the center of both the company's financial strategy and global operations- a scope that necessitates sounds judgment, strategic planning, and the ability to move fast without losing detail.
In this role, you will manage a high volume of competing priorities with precision. You will work directly with the COO/CFO to translate information into insights, advise on action, and translate complex financial and operational context into clear direction for the teams you work with.
This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, has operated in demanding environments, and knows how to bring structure to complexity.

Lead preparation of board materials, earnings communications, and executive presentations, synthesizing complex financial and operational narratives into clear, compelling content
Manage internal and external media engagements for the CFO/COO, including media interviews, conference appearances, customer events, and other public-facing moments
Drive internal communications and organizational engagement on behalf of the CFO/COO- including authoring newsletters, content-creating, coordinating quarterly all-hands, and designing creative ways to recognize and engage with a diverse organization

What You Bring
5+ years of experience in a high-performance environment- investment banking, management consulting, corporate finance, or a prior Chief of Staff role in a large technology or financial services organization
Prior Chief of Staff experience strongly preferred; candidates with equivalent operational and strategic exposure at the executive level will be considered
A strong finance foundation- you understand financial statements, operating models, and how financial decisions connect to business outcomes
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; you can write a tight board narrative, a crisp all-hands script, and a clear executive email- and you know the difference between all three
High comfort operating without a clear playbook. You define your own priorities, manage up effectively, and know when to ask for direction versus when to just move
A natural collaborator with strong executive presence
Superb organizational instincts. You run multiple workstreams in parallel, nothing falls through the cracks, and you make the people around you sharper
Deep discretion and sound judgment; you handle sensitive information with maturity and represent the office of the COO/CFO with professionalism at every level
