Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware issues using data analysis and structured problem-solving (RCA, five-why)
- Analyze inspection findings and data to determine repair/replace/reuse dispositions for engine hardware
- Develop incoming work scopes that balance technical requirements, customer needs, and contractual obligations
- Collaborate with design, quality, and operations to implement corrective actions and drive design or process improvements

- Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research trials; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, machining, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
- Work cross functionally with quality and design engineers to ensure that new processes achieve established metrics
- Translate technical processes and methods to train and empower production employees in the manufacturing techniques required for greatest yield, effectiveness & equipment capability
- Utilize lean principles to improve manufacturing efficiency by optimizing and planning work flow, space requirements, equipment organization and equipment layout.
- Promote and build a positive working relationship with hourly team members
- Ideal Candidate:
- You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys digging into data, solving problems at the root cause, and working closely with shop and cross-functional teams to keep hardware moving through the factory safely and efficiently
- Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years' experience in aerospace manufacturing OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years' experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience troubleshooting technical issues in a production, overhaul, or maintenance environment
- Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- LEAN/Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving/quality training
- Jet engine experience in workscoping and hardware dispositions
- Proficiency with MS Office and basic engineering analysis tools
- Experience collaborating in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
- SAP experience
- Additional Information:
- Schedule: 1st Shift, approximately 45 hours/week - with paid overtime
- Rotational availability for weekend coverage
- Must be U.S. Citizen, pass background checks and drug screenings
- Role may require lifting and work in varying environmental conditions
