Apprentice Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• You'll be supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives while building valuable skills for a career in care:
• Providing person-centred care and support to individuals with a range of needs
• Making a difference every day by supporting people with their independence, wellbeing and confidence
• Developing communication skills to build positive relationships with residents, families and professionals
• Supporting daily living activities such as personal care, nutrition and wellbeing
• Promoting dignity, respect, safeguarding and equality in all aspects of care
• Learning how to use care plans and digital systems to record what you do
• Working as part of a team with colleagues and health professionals to deliver high-quality care
• What could this lead to?
• While not guaranteed, many apprentices go on to permanent roles with St Monica Trust. Even if that isn't what you're looking for, you'll finish with:

• A strong CV and clear progression options within health and social care

Requirements

• A kind, caring nature and a real desire to make a positive difference in people's lives
• Good communication skills and the ability to listen, understand and show
• A willingness to learn, grow and develop into a skilled care professional
• Basic IT skills to record information accurately (e.g. care notes and reports)
• Reliability, patience and a professional approach to supporting others
• Ability to work as part of a team and use your initiative when needed
• English and Maths GCSEs at grade 4/C (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards achieving them as part of your apprenticeship

You'll earn while you learn, gaining a Level 2 Adult Care Worker qualification alongside hands-on experience in a professional, supportive environment.
