Music Therapy Intern

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, clean, welcoming environment in assigned area.
• Plan and implement music activities that address a range of goals.
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Gain an understanding of Music Therapy in a pediatric oncology setting.
• Work with multidisciplinary team
• Facilitate music therapy in the Music room and 1-on-1 in the infusion area.
• Create goals for internship and work with supervisor on how to complete them
• Participate in weekly individual supervision, group supervision or seminars when applicable

• The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate's relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
• For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
• $33,300.00 - $44,400.00

This internship focuses on supporting patients and their families through their treatment in an outpatient oncology clinic. The role consists of using music as a therapeutic mechanism in helping families through treatment using music-based activities.
