About the role
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for accurate day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Greek GAAP, Group Accounting Policies, and statutory requirements. You will work closely with the Finance & Accounting Manager (FAM), GBS Hub teams, external auditors, and local stakeholders to secure timely financial close, strong internal controls, and exceptional reporting quality. Own day-to-day accounting for the Greek legal entity in line with Greek GAAP and Group policies. Lead review and reconciliation of GBS-prepared entries, with a focus on store accounts and intercompany invoicing. Resolve complex AP and employee expense reimbursement cases escalated from the GBS, acting as the primary local point of contact. Drive timely, accurate month-end and year-end close in partnership with the FAM and GBS teams. Oversee inventory and warehouse accounting (movements, valuation, legal warehouse books), ensuring stock takes and SWAP alignment. Lead indirect tax and statutory reporting (VAT, withholding, tax-free), including accurate VAT submission via myData and ongoing local compliance. Ensure audit readiness by leading audit support and issue resolution, and by governing key store finance processes (EPOS-Up discrepancies, cashier, invoicing) including knowledge transfer on Greek specifics. About You Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 4+ years of experience in accounting, ideally in retail or luxury environments. Strong understanding of Greek GAAP; experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel. Fluency in English; strong analytical and communication skills.
