About the role
Delivers direct care to support optimal athletic performance, including prevention, immediate care, evaluation, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and reconditioning. Provide immediate and emergency medical care for injured athletes and patients in a timely and effective manner. Design, implement, and adjust individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans based on continuous evaluation of patient progress. Deliver therapeutic interventions-including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and approved modalities-in alignment with physician direction and professional standards. Coordinate patient care by communicating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals and facilitating necessary referrals. Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant documentation of all evaluations, treatments, and patient interactions in accordance with regulatory, professional, and departmental guidelines. Educate athletes, patients, families, and coaches on injury prevention, condition management, safe participation, and rehabilitation expectations. Assist with seasonal sports physicals. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program Less than 1 year experience in the clinical setting Knowledge base of normal anatomy, physiology, body's response to exercise, and nutrition Knowledge base of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and psychological demands placed on the injured athlete Knowledge base of compliance plans, HIPAA, and quality assurance programs Computer literate and knowledge base of practice management software, electronic health records, and Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel Must demonstrate a high level of maturity, emotional intelligence, and decision-making skills Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to plan, implement, document, communicate, and refer to the appropriate healthcare professionals Ability to flex work schedule outside of normal business hours to meet the demands of clients Ability to prioritize workloads, manage time, and multi-task in an effective manner Ability to travel within 50 miles of assigned partner location AT - Athletic Trainer - Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer Upon Hire and ATL - Athletic Trainer License - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire and BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association Upon Hire Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program 2 years experience in the clinical setting Physical Demands Lift over 50 lbs.
