Job Description:
As a Senior Quality and Reliability Engineer, you will engage with substrate manufacturing suppliers to influence key technology decisions for Intel's EMIB package and assembly solutions across both Technology Development and High Volume Manufacturing phases.
In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
Help define and enable strategies to meet product milestones, assess critical risks in technology development activities at the component level, and address manufacturing challenges at substrate supplier sites to support long-term High Volume Manufacturing stability and supply chain robustness.
You will drive improvements in supplier process technologies and support their interactions with bridge silicon fabs and supplier-provided devices. This includes maintaining quality standards, reviewing major quality events, and establishing consistent expectations and practices across the supply chain to support product performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
Influence and enable packaging technology development by partnering closely with engineering teams to improve process maturity and reduce technical and manufacturing risk. Partner with customer-facing quality teams across a broad range of Intel Foundry customers.
You will respond to customer requirements related to technical and quality expectations, and lead quality assessments for new developments and supply chain changes. You will provide proactive recommendations within Intel and with key substrate manufacturing partners.
Synthesizes and extracts insights from structured and unstructured data using statistics and machine learning to determine the disposition of products and systems that do not meet required specifications.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following strengths:
Ability to influence cross-functional teams, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior quality leaders across the supply chain and influence manufacturing and quality standards within Intel's silicon manufacturing sites.
Demonstrated success working in ambiguous environments, managing competing priorities, and applying strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills.
Deep understanding of the interactions between silicon and package manufacturing, with the ability to apply that knowledge to drive critical technology and quality improvements.
