Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Junior Air Quality Engineer or Scientist to join our expanding Air Quality Permitting and Compliance Team in Anchorage, Alaska. Preference will be given to candidates who reside in or are willing to relocate to Anchorage. This full-time position offers a dynamic range of responsibilities, requiring adaptability and a broad skill set. It presents an exciting opportunity to contribute technical expertise to complex air quality permitting projects across industries such as oil & gas, mining, chemical, energy, and other industrial sectors-both within Alaska and our North American region. Required Technical Skills and Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or closely related scientific field Previous experience in the areas of air quality permitting and compliance consulting is a plus Zero to 2 years of experience solving environmental problems, calculating air quality emissions, and interpreting permits or environmental regulations Technical writing skills, and experience writing comprehensive technical reports Proficient with Microsoft Office suite software and PDF software. Ability to visit industrial and manufacturing facilities Preferred Personal Attributes and Traits Attention to detail, including excellent proofreading and writing skills Logical and methodical problem solving Effective time management of multiple project tasks Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Understanding of budgets and deadlines Self-motivated and eager to learn Proactive in seeking work tasks Strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
