Bachelor ' s degree in Computer Science,Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience OR Master ' s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-10 years of experience.
5 years of experience with coherent optical or IMDD communication products
Optical fiber communications with knowledge in CD, PMD, and PDL.
Signal processing in optical fiber communications. For example, typical DSP algorithms in carrier recovery etc.
A technical scripting language such as Python.
Verification testing and instrument automation.
Hands-on experience in the lab.
Preferred:
AI-Assisted data analysis of test performance and issue resolution
Serdes
Client-side protocol such as ethernet and ITU etc.
Embedded FW programming and debug.
C or C++ programming language.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
158,600 - 237,600, $ per annum
The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.

The mission of the Connectivity optical system group is to lead the development of leading-edge DSP for coherent and IMDD optical communications. The team is responsible for providing performance assessment of future product roadmap by building optical evaluation platforms with state-of-the-art electro-optical components and DSP test chips to build simulation models, validate performance with offline DSP processing, and provide reference design. The team is also responsible for conducting post-silicon performance verification in a completely automated testing environment with 2000 km of single-mode fiber, pdl, and PMD. A successful candidate will help expand the team's capability in electro-optical components modeling and offline DSP processing and participate in post-silicon verification.
What You Can Expect
Connectivity Optical Systems Group:
Conduct system verification tests of Marvell ' s Coherent and IMDD DSPs with state of the are optical engine.
Compose DSP simulation models of electro optical components used in pluggable coherent and IMDD modules and correlate models with measurements.
Provide technical guidance to customers on how to tune their optical platform with Marvell DSPs to get the best-in-class performance.
Perform experiment-based chip debug to solve customer issue
