Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional assessments to determine eligibility and recommend appropriate housing adaptations
  • Provide advice, guidance, and access to support services based on assessed needs

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic case records in line with GDPR and council procedures
  • Share good practice and provide specialist housing OT knowledge to colleagues and customers
  • Support policy development and ensure referral routes follow best practice
  • Uphold professional standards and maintain HCPC registration and continuous professional development
  • Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience in housing adaptations, DFG assessments, and working with vulnerable individuals
  • Knowledge of building regulations, manual handling, and assistive technology
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
