Reimagine What's Possible PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop and implement effective strategies and work processes of permitting for Operations to effectively manage and administer existing permits requirements. Apply for, negotiate and obtain necessary permits and approvals required by Operations. Identities and analyzes complex permitting laws and regulations to determine impact to businesses and operations. Interpret permitting regulatory requirements, develop permitting compliance matrices, provide initial compliance matrix training to Operations and provide ongoing compliance support and training. Identify and assess emerging permitting issues and regulations that can impact Air Products operations, services, products, and permitting strategies. Participate, as needed, in trade organizations and interface with various agencies to advocate regulatory changes, where appropriate. Understands regulatory and legislative rulemaking processes and prepares comments to regulatory agencies. With superintendent's instruction, provide permitting support or consultant to project management. Coordinate Environmental Site Assessments activity at properties and operations that are part of pending acquisitions and divestitures to identify and assess permitting risks before deal closing. Other works and projects assigned by supervisors or company. JOB REQUIREMENTS Candidate will be based in Xi'an. BS plus minimum of 5 years' experience or equivalent demonstrated competency. Understands typical application and capabilities of complex permitting practices. Effectively communicate objectives, plans, and able to debate conceptual point. Prepares and directs the preparation of permit applications. Organizes and delivers effective presentations. Able to resolve conflict within team and redirect team priorities. Effectively employs group and individual problem-solving skills. Act with integrity and in accordance with company policies. Ability to confront behavior not consistent with company values. Honor commitments. Able to communicate fluently in English/Chinese. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people from all cultures at all organizational levels, inside and outside AP.
