Description of Work Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor at a multi-custody female correctional facility, this position provides facility maintenance support predominantly in the trade area of plumbing. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Performing journey level duties in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air, gas, water, and waste disposal systems. 2. Performing routine work assignments based on the nature of the location of the needed repair with assignments involving work of special or unusual nature are accompanied by specific instructions. 3. Exercising considerable independence in performance of routine work while unprecedented assignments are usually discussed with or supervised by foreman. 4. Reviewing work through inspection of work in progress and on the basis of satisfactory operation of equipment repaired or installed. Anson CI offers a wide variety of educational, vocational, and training programs. Correction Enterprises operates the offender packaging operation at Anson, a partnership with Union Supply Direct through the Prison Industry Enhancement Program (PIE).
