- Bachelor's Degree in Scientific field with at least 10 years of related work; Master's Degree in Scientific field with at least 8 years of related work; or PhD in Scientific field at least 0-2 years of related work experience.
- Strong background in cell and molecular biology, with extensive experience with cell culture and aseptic technique.
- Experience with 'omics, genetic engineering, flow cytometry, fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS), next generation sequencing, expression vector design, bioinformatics, systems biology, machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and/or modeling methods is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills including critical and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. Demonstrated scientific writing skills and strong verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently design and execute experiments, interpret data, and identify appropriate follow-up strategies.

We are seeking a highly-motivated Senior Scientist to join our multidisciplinary team focused on robust production cell lines to enable AbbVie's clinical and commercial biologics pipeline. In this exciting lab-based position, the senior scientist will develop next generation mammalian host cell lines, leveraging advanced gene-editing technologies and System Biology knowledge to engineer CHO host cells for enhanced recombinant protein productivity, improved product quality, and streamlined process efficiency. In addition, the successful candidate will enable the Biologics' pipeline through production cell line development and characterization and collaboration on cross-functional teams.
