About the Position: About the Position: This is a Temporary Position within the US Army Cadet Command 8th Brigade, Santa Barbara, CA. APPOINTMENT INFORMATION: Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or detail NTE one YEAR by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Position may be made permanent without further competition. Employees currently located in OCONUS (foreign or non-foreign) are not eligible for a detail to a CONUS position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Ensuring record management files are properly maintained, following procedures to inspect supply or equipment for discrepancies, Operating automated word processing equipment with hardware and software components to prepare a variety of material such as correspondence, forms, reports, etc., Maintaining property book in accordance with applicable regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service at the GS-6 level.
