-Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or master's degree / PhD / MD with 8+ years of relevant experience.
3+ years at top-tier consulting firm or in a similar role developing manufacturing and technical development strategy in the bio-pharma industry.
Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and leadership; knowledge about the biotech / biopharma segment.
Strong business acumen.
Demonstrated capability to deliver strategic analysis and optionality impacting the effectiveness of a global manufacturing and development organization.

Reporting to Executive Director, Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing (PDM) Strategy, you will lead development of strategies for PDM with an enterprise mindset and provide clarity for leaders and decision makers in the organization. This includes leading strategic analysis projects and initiatives, as a member of a high-performance internal consulting team.
This role is based in Foster City, CA.
FOCUS AREAS
Develop, revise and maintain PDM's network strategies for all aspects of clinical & commercial manufacturing. Codify existing strategies, develop strategic operating principles and formulate new network strategies depending on the business and organizational needs
Lead strategic analysis and option evaluations, as an internal consultant, presenting recommendations to PDM Leadership Team as well as outside of PDM
Conduct key analyses, stakeholder interviews, and external benchmarking to support recommendations and identify additional opportunities for PDM to enhance its ability to deliver
Build out a sustainability strategy for PDM in alignment with Gilead's sustainability goals
