Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire customs clearance process from pre-entry to final release (data capture, validation, payment, and modulation)
- Ensure all customs entries (pedimentos) are accurately documented, compliant, and fully supported
- Coordinate closely with customs on-site agents to expedite loading and unloading activities
- Review, authorize, and validate entries prior to payment and processing
- Manage corrections, clarifications, and communications with customs authorities as needed

- Prepare daily/weekly operational reports (status, processing times, delays, incidents)
- Maintain organized and compliant digital and physical documentation files
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams for accurate operational closures
- Conduct and coordinate on-site inspection visits with customs brokers to verify materials against documentation
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, International Business, or a related field
- 4 years of experience in customs clearance operations, preferably within the construction materials supply sector
- Proven experience working directly with customs brokers and on-site cargo inspections
- English proficiency is required, with strong conversational ability.
- Technical Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Mexican Customs Law, its regulations, and current Foreign Trade General Rules (RGCE)
- Basic expertise in tariff classification
- Proficiency in customs and government systems:
- VUCEM (Digital Window)
- SAAI, SIGA, SAT
- Solid experience handling import/export documentation, including:
- Bills of Lading (BL)
- Commercial Invoices
- Packing Lists
- Certificates and declarations
- Experience preparing consolidated reports for customs authorities
