Support the LRSO System Program Office (SPO) Systems Engineering division
Lead systems studies and analyses that support technical, programmatic, and organizational decision-making on a variety of projects
Lead studies such as systems architecture analyses, technology development planning and evaluation, organizational effectiveness studies, and risk assessments
Plan and participate in Systems Engineering Technical Reviews
Support the SPO in developing products for different milestones
Support the SPO in developing acquisition related products (RFP, SOW, etc.)
Document work in accordance with corporate standards and provide timely technical recommendations to customers by means of technical briefings and reports

What You'll Need to be Successful:
Minimum Requirements for Project Engineer - Systems and Mission Assurance Engineering
Bachelor's degree in science or engineering from a recognized institution
8 or more years of relevant systems engineering experience with an emphasis on configuration management, establishment and maintenance of Configuration Items, and planning and execution of associated reviews (SVR, PRR) and audits (FCA, PCA)
Experience with developing products required for DoD acquisition phase transition, with emphasis on the Production and Deployment phase
Willing to travel domestically approximately 10% of the time
This position requires a current Secret or DoE L clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance , which is issued by the US government. US citizenship is required.
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for Sr. Project Engineer - Systems and Mission Assurance Engineering include:
12 or more years of relevant systems engineering experience with an emphasis on configuration management, establishment and maintenance of Configuration Items, and planning and execution of associated reviews (SVR, PRR) and audits (FCA, PCA)
Leadership experience developing products required for DoD acquisition phase transition, with emphasis on the Production and Deployment phase
Experience supporting acquisition and operation of strategic weapons

The Nuclear Operations Directorate (NOD) is seeking an LRSO Systems Engineer to provide mechanical engineering support to the USAF Long Range Stand Off (LRSO) Program Office Air Vehicle group with development, test, and production of the LRSO Cruise Missile. The position requires someone with hands on experience in systems engineering, specifically configuration management and Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition phase transition. The candidate will be in a customer interfacing role for the Air Delivered Capabilities Directorate (AFNWC/NDBD) within the USAF Nuclear Weapons Center. The candidate must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and be able to effectively interface with the government customer and contractors.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
