Responsibilities
- Lead new business placements and assigned renewals from strategy through binding
- Serve as a client/prospect facing insurance professional for large, complex construction accounts
- Design and negotiate insurance programs, including coverage analysis and risk-related consulting

- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, wholesalers, Producers and clients

- Serve as a subject matter resource to colleagues on coverage, markets and processes
- Participate in new business development activities, including occasional travel
- Comply with internal procedures while meeting service, quality and performance expectations
Requirements
- 5+ years of insurance marketing, placement or brokering experience (construction-focused)
- Strong understanding of the New York construction insurance marketplace
- Proven ability to manage large, complex accounts with limited oversight
- Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Positive, professional demeanor with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a commercial insurance agency (marketing and/or client service)
- Active Property & Casualty License
- Commitment to maintaining required continuing education
- Advanced designations preferred (CRIS, CPCU, AAI, CIC)
- Strong working knowledge of commercial lines underwriting, coverages, and risk analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems (Sagitta, ImageRight preferred)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Highly motivated, resourceful, and goal-driven with a strong service mindset
