Responsible for the recruitment and hiring process of commercial tank truck drivers and independent owner-operators. Must ensure that company minimum driver qualifications are met, and that drivers and independent owner-operators can perform job duties as outlined in their job descriptions. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with identifying new media sources Assist in keeping updated with industry trends in advertising. Professionally handles driver/contractor inquires Responds to inquiries promptly. Presents the job and its requirements honestly and accurately. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of company driver requirements, pay scale and benefits package. Maintains up-to-date knowledge contractor operator and equipment requirements, pay scale and benefits package. Travels as needed to recruit applicants. Maintains recruiting packages at terminal locations. Arranges transportation and lodging for drivers and owner-operators attending Orientation. Assists with verifying that company drivers, owner-operators, contract drivers and equipment meet minimum company standards. Arranges for DOT physical and road test prior to Orientation. Arranges interview between applicant and terminal manager. Arranges for pre-lease inspection of contractor's tractor. Completes written employment verification for previous 4 years, runs DAC and MVR on applicant. Arranges for applicant to complete application package and related materials. Ensures that applicants have accurately and filled out an employment or contractor application. Review all initial hire or lease paperwork with applicants, ensuring that they understand what is being signed. Ensures that all required paperwork is signed and dated. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of given area of specialty. Communicates efficiently with driver candidates, including explanation of job, duties, and requirements. Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications: High School education required. Job related college course work or degree preferred. Skills Required: Knowledge of professional commercial driving skills, federal safety regulations governing professional drivers and proper mechanical operation of equipment. Ability to manage multiple tasks/assignments. Proficient in company's standard software products, including Microsoft Office products. Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Hybrid of remote and in office Must be able to work with interruptions and deadlines. After hours and weekend work may be required.
