KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of and ability to design, test and manufacture electronic circuits, components and devices
Understanding of signal conditioning
Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, application or operational) problems.
Understanding of the technical language and writing approach, and the ability to write paper-based and on-line technical reference documentation (guidelines, standards, procedures, processes, applications, etc.)
Ability to understand a device's compatibility with (i.e., no interference is caused by) its electromagnetic (EM) environment and ensure it does not emit levels of EM energy that cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) in other devices in the vicinity.
Knowledge of product development methods and ability to research, identify and apply formal disciplines and best practices for improving the quality and costs related to product development.
Good knowledge of technical English (verbal and writing). Spanish is an advantage but not required.

JOB SUMMARY:
This individual designs electronic modules and instrument clusters that operates in an automotive environment. The individual shall also write product specifications, generate other applicable documentation, do customer presentations, prepare quotations, coordinate lab testing, travel when required, coordinate and provide validation, reliability and production support. Programming using C-language to support testing of microprocessor based products. The work is done in a team environment involving cooperation with customer marketing, quality, validation, mechanical, production and PCB layout individuals. Perform internal audits to comply with Annual Program (if you are appointed internal auditor). The electrical engineer needs to be focused, result driven and capable to work alone and in a team environment. The engineer will be responsible for the design of new electronic products and follow the product to full production. Some product support will be required on existing products. This includes specification reviews, development program timelines and reports, design reviews, rapid prototype, documentation packages, preproduction builds and transfers to production.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design the product following the standard electronic design process.
Some project management experience is preferred.
Demonstrate the design concept and meet customer requirement using scientific method
Test and validate the concept using quick turn PCBs.
Support full design process
Writes manufacture and test procedures and reports
Participates in project teams and all activities related to the development of new electronic products
Provides technical support to manufacturing, quality, software and mechanical teams
Support team projects to successful and timely completion
