Verify compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Perform routine audits of production lines (cupping, bodymaker, trimmer, washer, decorator, necker, etc.).
Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and quality control plans.
Identify process deviations and escalate non-conformances.
Record inspection and test results in quality systems or logs.
Maintain accurate and timely quality records in accordance with ISO or plant standards.
Generate audit reports and communicate findings to production and quality leadership.
Track trends and recurring issues to support root cause analysis.
Assist in root cause investigations for product defects and customer complaints.
Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve processes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
Follow all the safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Recognition, Hazard Communication, Machine Guarding
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
1-3 years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience (metal packaging preferred).
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and standards.
Proficiency with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
Experience in aluminum can or high-speed manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).
Familiarity with ISO quality systems.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure.
Work Environment
Manufacturing plant environment with high-speed production lines.
Exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery.
Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
May require shift work, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
May involve exposure to noise, moderate temperatures, and handling of materials.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
Able to perform in a high-pressure fast paced environment.
