MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform all machining tasks safely while following company safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Operate manual machine tools including mills, lathes, grinders, and related shop equipment to build or repair precision components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify parts meet specifications.
Fabricate fixtures, jigs, and tooling as required to support production and maintenance needs.
Disassemble, inspect, clean, and repair mechanical components; document findings and corrective actions.
Fit and assemble newly machined or repaired components into machines, die sets, or mechanical systems, ensuring proper function and alignment.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks and record work using the company's maintenance management system.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Obtain and maintain a forklift license (if required).
EDUCATION:
Required: High School diploma
Preferred: 2 year machine shop apprenticeship; college or vocational certification in blueprint reading, machine shop, and fabrication curriculum
